Self-destructive mode is the security feature that automatically deletes your telegram account after a certain time of inactivity. The default self-destructive time is of 6 months of inactivity, but you can change the time as you preferred.

1. Go to the Telegram app on your device and go to Settings.
2. Click on Privacy and Security.

   

3. Then, in the Advanced section, select Delete my account if away.

If you want to delete a conversation only, then you can do it very easily. You must be ready to know that after you delete the conversation, the whole chat history and contents will be deleted. Follow these steps to delete the whole conversation.

1. Open the Telegram app and go to the chat screen.
2. Then, long-press the conversation you want to delete.
3. Now, some options will appear and click on the Trash can icon.
4. Confirm if you want to delete the conversation on the other side and click on Delete Chat.

Note: While confirming the conversation deletion, if you do not choose to delete chats on another side, then it will not disappear your contents. But if you accept to delete chats on another side, there will be no trace of your contents and conversation. Even if the person on another side wants to see the conversation, they will not be able to see.

How to Delete Channel?

There might be many reasons why you want to delete a telegram channel like being inactive for a long time. If you do not want to keep your telegram channel or group, then simply delete them. It will no longer be available along with the contents and chats and they cannot be restored.

5. Now, click on Block user on the Blocked Users setting.
6. Scroll through your chats and select the user and then, click on Block User.

Note: If you’ve been blocked by someone, you will not be able to send messages, or view their profile picture, that person’s status will not appear and you will see ‘long time ago’ instead of estimated time and date. However, there may be various reasons why you can not send messages or view their profile picture.

1. Launch your Telegram app on your mobile phone.
2. Tap the chat which contains messages you want to delete.
3. Find the sent messages you want to delete and press down till a pop-up menu appears.
